ANU Community Connect launches in O-Week
Launching this O-week is a brand new space for students to seek support and connection called ANU Community Connect (ACC). This initiative is managed by the Thrive program within the Engagement and Success team. ACC's purpose and team aim to actively address food and financial insecurity, social isolation and foster a vibrant campus community through building connections between students and staff.
On Wednesday 20 July, 2022 from 12pm -1pm, members from Thrive and Engagement and Success will open the doors to ANU Community Connect for the first time.
This is a safe and welcoming space for all ANU students where students can access a no-cost food pantry (on scheduled days each week during semester), 'Share the Dignity' vending machine, access to friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Our team will offer students the opportunity to build connections, navigate university services and actively engage with our programs and events to improve their student experience at ANU.
During the launch, staff and students will be able to see for themselves what the space will offer in Semester 2, 2022 and how the team plans to engage with students and student services to build partnerships into 2023. The launch will include a welcome address by a guest speaker from the University Experience portfolio, followed by a free lunch catered by the Food Co-op shop and cafe, and our team will provide small group tours of the ANU Community Connect space.
Join the team in Semester 2 O-week, 2022 to celebrate the launch of the space. Please register to secure your spot .
