Residential Experience

The Â鶹´«Ã½AV National University (ANU) provides accommodation for nearly 6,500 domestic and international students who call our beautiful campus their home.

Each residence at ANU has its own unique lifestyle, culture, ethos, and provides comprehensive wellbeing and academic support, along with top-notch facilities. We cater to a broad spectrum of accommodation preferences. Around half our rooms are single bedrooms in residences, with communal spaces for meals, social engagement, shared study and academic enrichment programs (both catered and self-catered). The other half are self-contained studio apartments and multi-share apartments with communal facilities for social engagement, shared study and academic enrichment programs. All residences have outdoor and indoor spaces. Most residences are mixed student communities, but we also offer specialist postgraduate residences.

For more information, please refer to the .

Tariffs across the campus are in the mid-range for Group of Eight Universities and differ according to the facilities available and the size of rooms. Our aim is to offer high quality facilities at a range of prices to cater to students from different socio-economic backgrounds.

All commencing students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, are guaranteed an offer of on-campus accommodation. The also covers ongoing students who are Indigenous students, students with a defined adjustment plan from Access and Inclusion that relates to their student accommodation, students on scholarships with an accommodation guarantee as a part of the award, incoming students on an approved Exchange or Study Abroad program, students travelling from Ritsumeikan University enrolled in the joint degree Bachelor of Asia Pacific Affairs (Ritsumeikan) and Bachelor of Global Liberal Arts (Ritsumeikan University).

While we do not guarantee accommodation to the following students, we expect to be able to offer accommodation to postgraduate coursework students not covered by the above guarantees, postgraduate research students not covered by the above guarantees, current undergraduate students living off campus not covered by the above guarantees, and students who submitted a late application.

A mix of commencing and older year students provides a strong foundation for a safe and supportive community in residences. Please find more information about how to apply for on-campus accommodation on the page.
