Statement from the NTEU

25 Jun 2024

This message has been provided by the NTEU in accordance with clause 58.5 of the ANU Enterprise Agreement.

"Your next pay increase takes effect on 4 July, when your pay will rise by another 2.5 per cent - making it a 5 per cent pay rise since the start of the year. This is part of a union-negotiated pay outcome that was won by union members taking action together and is among the highest in the sector.

We’ve also achieved significant improvements to working conditions, including job security improvements which have resulted in scores of fixed-term staff at the ANU being converted to continuing employment.

This has only been possible because of the efforts of staff at ANU working together through their union, the NTEU.

Our next goal is to enforce new conditions that require proactive management of workloads. The best way to have a voice about workloads, and to have support at work when you need it, is to become a member of your union.

"
