Checklist for National Safe Work Month | Work Health and Safety

Each year October is recognised as National Safe Work Month across Â鶹´«Ã½AV workplaces with a campaign coordinated by .

This year’s campaign focuses on the theme – For everyone’s safety, work safely.

Individuals, their families and the broader community are all impacted by work related injury and illness. This is why, during October each year, Safe Work Australia asks businesses, employers and workers across Australia to commit to building safe and healthy workplaces for all Â鶹´«Ã½AVs.

While the University’s core business involves teaching and research activities, we can still remain focused on undertaking our teaching and research activities in a safe manner. A fundamental aspect of safe work is identifying hazards which may cause harm and either eliminating or minimising the risk of harm from those hazards.
