Speaker biography
Dr Jill Sheppard is a senior lecturer in the School of Politics and International Relations. She is an investigator on several major survey studies of Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV public opinion and behaviour, including the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Election Study, World Values Survey, and Asian Barometer Survey.
Professor Frank Bongiorno AM, is a Professor of History ANU and President of the Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia and the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Academy of the Humanities. His most recent book is Dreamers and Schemers: A Political History of Australia.
Dr Marija Taflaga is the Director of the ANU Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Politics Studies Centre and a Lecturer at the ANU School of Politics and International Relations.
Professor Mark Kenny is Director at the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Studies Institute at ANU, where he hosts the popular podcast series 'Democracy Sausage'. Mark is the Canberra Times political analyst and a regular on the ABC's Insiders, Sky News Agenda, and radio programs across the country.
