Chifley library tree planting
Presented by ANU College of Science
Recap moments from the tree planting ceremony
This ceremony was organised to celebrate the University's 75 years since establishment and Fenner School of Environment & Society's 15 years.
The ceremony symbolised the future of ANU and the type of university we want to be from an environmental perspective. While the trees that line the grounds of the university have an aesthetic function, they also represent a practical and environmental one. As ANU matures and moves through the decades, so will the trees - a living testament to this place.
This event featured a keynote speech from one of the tree experts from the Fenner School - Professor Peter Kanowski, followed by the actual planting of the tree saplings from current environmental science undergraduate students.
