I am a biological anthropologist who has worked at ANU since 2011. I am an award-winning teacher, a past ARC DECRA Fellow, and was a CASS representative on academic board from 2022 – 2024. I am also Head of The School of Archaeology and Anthropology.

I am an interdisciplinary researcher whose research exploring the impact of environmental change and stress on all primates - human and non-human – sits at the nexus of arts and sciences. I sit on the steering committee of the Health Humanities Network at ANU that also works to bring disciplines together holistically to better understand health issues. I am committed to collaboration and finding new ways to foster and support interdisciplinary work in both research and teaching. I am passionate about equity issues in academia promoting acceptance and work-life balance, both of which I have written about.

As a leader, I have a reputation as being a strong and clear communicator who can make equitable decisions to support all staff. In my previous term on academic board, I used my teaching, research and leadership experience to advocate for CASS. In a second term I would again raise key issues that impact the arts and social sciences.
