Election to Council of two Academic Staff Members

Council Elections 2024 - Academic Staff

Following a call for nominations to elect two members of the academic staff of the University to the ANU Council, eight (9) nominations were received for each of the two positions.

As more than one nomination has been received for each available position, an online ballot will be held.

The nominated candidates are: 

Academic Staff (Institute) member

• Dr Catherine Frieman
• Dr Harry Rolf
• Professor Lyndall Strazdins
• Professor David Tremethick

Academic Staff (Faculties) member

• Dr Liz Allen 
• Dr Romain Fathi
• Professor Penny Kyburz
• Associate Professor Dale Roberts
• Distinguished Professor Warwick McKibbin
• Associate Professor Bryan Wang

Voting

Voting online for the election is now open and will close at 5pm (AEST) on Friday 27 September 2024.

To cast your vote please use the following web link to the ANU Apollo Poll:

Only members of the academic staff employed in a full-time or part-time standard or fixed term capacity, who are of or above the grade of academic level A, and who were paid a salary on payday 29 August 2024, are eligible to vote in this ballot.

The elected staff member will hold office from 30 September 2024 until 29 September 2026.
