Dr Alexandra Webb
With a background as an anatomist, Dr Webb is committed to enhancing medical education through the creation of effective dynamic teaching and learning environments that exploit the affordances of technologies.
Dr Webb has more than 20 years experience teaching anatomy into undergraduate & postgraduate medicine, allied health & science programs in Australia & the United Kingdom. She has extensive proficiencies in leading the development & implementation of new curricula & resources. She is an innovative educator & educational researcher who takes measured risks in trialling the effectiveness of novel teaching & learning approaches such as serious games, touchscreen technology, adaptive learning, virtual patients & eBooks. In her current role, she is leading the development & implementation of technology enhanced learning & teaching for the School's MChD as well as creating a flexible collaborative Professional Development program to build capacity in teaching & learning. Dr Webb's educational practice has been recognised with multiple awards, including Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy & a national Â鶹´«Ã½AV Award for University Teaching.
Dr Webb has been an elected Council member of the Â鶹´«Ã½AV & New Zealand Association of Clinical Anatomists (ANZACA) since 2013. She currently serves on the Executive Council as Secretary and co-editor of the Newsletter. In 2016, she organised the ANZACA conference 'Artful Anatomy' at the ANU Medical School. She has also been awarded an Â鶹´«Ã½AV Award for University Teaching - Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning in 2016.
